Cochabamba, Bolivia
Fairview residents Dr. James Alexander, Joy Moss, Steve and Ruth Hopkins were part of a two-week medical construction mission team from the WNC Conference of the Methodist Church that went to Cochabamba, Bolivia. The group worked at six small churches — Dr. Alexander at each medical clinic; Joy Moss at the eye clinics and clown ministry; and Steve and Ruth Hopkins at general labor tearing down old and building new bathrooms at a small neighborhood church and daycare center. Of course, that travel-hungry Town Crier stowed away in a suitcase made an appearance during a break from the work.
